Aba Visiting!

Well, I survived the weekend without Christian, and the kiddos are still alive and happy! Charley got her 6 month shots today, and we all got the flu vaccinne. Diego opted for the "live virus" mist, while Charley and I took the shots like champions. We also went to the U of Wa to visit papa's new colleagues in his global health master's program. Abuela Anna is here visiting for the week, and we are all looking forward to Halloween, trick or treating, and a lot of candy!! This year, Diego is Tigger, Charley is Pooh, Aba is the rabbit, and I will be Piglet. Christian will be Christopher Robin if he makes it home on time for the festivities. Lauren's alone this weekend with the kiddos....all is going well so far, except for the lack of sleep last night. Hopefully, Charley will snooze the night away, cause I'm exhausted! Christian left yesterday for an infectious disease conference in Washington, DC. Our weekend was so fun with girlfriends visiting from California and Montana, a visit to the Red Hook Brewery, and a fun outing to a pumpkin patch/farm in Everett, WA. This week flew by with Diego's first field trip, including a ride on a school bus, to another local pumpkin patch, and a visit from our dear friend, Chris. Next week Aba visits for Halloween, and Lauren has a quick overnight trip to San Diego!

Sleep is Wonderful

Last night Charley had her best night of sleep ever! She normally goes down about 6:30 after a bath and eating. She fell asleep beautifully on her own after some cute babbling and then stayed asleep without even waking up once until 1:45 am. I fed her, put her back down at 2 am and she slept until 5:15 am. I fed her again, then put her down again in hopes she'd be content while I showered. She fell asleep and is still asleep at 7:20 am!!! I feel so much better having had more sleep last night....amazing. Maybe we're turning the corner!

Life has accelerated to warp speed it seems! Christian is in school, enjoying his new "student" life, Lauren is back to work three days a week and enjoying her days off with Charley on Thursday and Friday. Diego is in preschool at the YMCA Wednesday - Friday, and he loves it! Charley is 5 1/2 months old and so super cute everyone wants to hold her! She's eating baby food, rolling all over the place, melting hearts when she smiles, and not yet sleeping through the night, but doing much better than a few weeks ago.
